Qualifications
  • Grade Level:  High School 12th Grade ~ Collegiate Undergraduate Senior

  • Minimum GPA: 3.200 (Unweighted)

  • Approved Region V NSBE member

  • Pursuing an engineering, business, medical, or other STEM-related fields/passion

  • U.S. citizen or International/Exchange Student

  • Resume (1 page) and Verified GPA

  • Written Responses

  • Video Submission (MAX 1 minute 45 seconds) MP4 or MOV format

The Holistic Engineer Scholarship is purposed to encourage individuals that exemplify the idea of academic excellence, extracurricular activity involvement, NSBE commitment, science-technology-engineering-arts-mathematics, leadership potential, and a persistent passion for learning and helping others.  The NSBE Region V Academic Excellence committee is seeking to recognize NSBE students that embrace the importance of a Holistic Engineer through their actions, career goals, and distinguished dreams. The scholarship will be used towards the student’s academic education at the respective university/school.

 2020 John Deere 

Corporate Scholarship

The Vanguard Region graciously welcomes the 2020 John Deere Corporate Scholarship sponsored by John Deere.  John Deere is invested in opportunities to attract, develop, and retain the power of education, professionalism, and commemorate the talent throughout the National Society of Black Engineers membership.  John Deere is offering $1,000 scholarships to two outstanding Region V applicants that demonstrate academic excellence and 'double' their efforts in supporting their community per John Deere's mission statement.

  • Minimum GPA: 3.00 (Unweighted)

  • Approved Region V NSBE member

  • Pursuing an accredited ABET engineering program

  • Pursuing in Agricultural (Ag) Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related major/discipline

  • U.S. citizen

Wallace Engineering is dedicated to creativity, team collaboration, and expressing the art of engineering through imagination and design. Wallace Engineering seeks to promote professionalism, creativity, talent, and extraoridanry architectural imagination throughout the National Society of Black Engineers membership. Wallace Engineering is offering a $1,000 scholarship to one outstanding Region V applicant that demonstrates their passion for academic excellence, the art of engineering, and passion to 'make lives better' throughout their communities.

Diversity & Empowerment Scholarship

“Our ability to reach unity in diversity will be the beauty and the test of our civilization” are the uplifting words of Mahatma Gandhi that speak the truth on the beauty and importance of diversity and empowerment in our society.  NSBE is founded on the inspiring works of our memberships’ diversity and strives to empower engineers around the world.  The Diversity & Empowerment Scholarship is purposed to discover NSBE students that have demonstrated their passion for supporting diversity and empowerment in the community and within NSBE membership. The scholarship will be used towards the student’s academic education at the respective university/school.

International NSBE Vanguard Scholar 

The Vanguard Region holds an honorable reputation and supports the impact that NSBE has worldwide.  We strive to support the NSBE mission and as many NSBE members as possible through administration, programs, and scholarships.  The International NSBE Vanguard Scholar scholarship is purposed to support international NSBE members pursuing their higher education. The scholarship will be used towards the student’s academic education at the respective university/school.

Qualifications
  • Grade Level:  Undergraduate Freshmen ~ Undergraduate Senior

  • Minimum GPA: 2.500 (Unweighted)

  • Approved Region V NSBE member

  • Pursuing an engineering, business, medical, or other STEM-related fields/passion

  • International and/or Exchange Student

Academic Perseverance Scholarship

The Academic Perseverance Scholarship strives to recognize students that have overcome adversity in several forms and persistently display a passion for their academic endeavors, NSBE commitment, and inspiring leadership experiences.  The Academic Excellence committee wishes everyone good health and encouragement to push forward and pursue greatness in there goals and careers.  The scholarship will be used towards the student’s academic education at the respective university/school.
