Academic Tech Bowl

What is it?:
The Academic Tech Bowl is a unique program to encourage and showcase Academic Excellence and understanding of the fundamental principles of engineering covered in the usual senior engineering standardized tests. For example, the FE (Fundamentals fo Engineering) exam and the FS (Fundamentals in Surveying) exam.
Program participation occurs through healthy competition in a "Jeopardy!" style format with multiple-choice questions. Questions will cover a variety of topics including NSBE history and African American Sciences, Inventors, and Engineers. Members will participate as individuals.
The six regional chapter participant winners will automatically be registered for the National Academic Tech Bowl.
Eligibility requirements are as follows:

Paid NSBE members

Required FRC registration

Acceptable access to the internet, zoom, and prepared knowledge for the indicated topics shown below.
RULES:

Participants are allowed to bring their own calculator

No outside internet access or reference materials will be permitted during the competition.

Matches will vary in rounds (25 questions per round with 5 questions in each of the 5 categories)

Participants WILL be penalized for incorrect answers.

Members will be allotted 20 seconds to each question.

The participant will the highest points total at the conclusion of the completion will win.
